Novelty Farm Animals

The Midwest is built on farming. Across the region, it’s not uncommon to hit a farm every few miles, most of which boil down to crops and cattle. But the ever-growing suburbs are starting to encroach on what was once farmland. Farmers are hard-pressed to find enough land to handle 500 head of cattle. That’s where miniature cows come in. They’re smaller — of course. They eat less, which means less land is needed. And they can do anything a regular cow can do, just cuter.

Finished Construction in October at Forest and Fields is Just the Beginning…

A lot goes into making sure that new units are filled at Anawim Housing; no one knows that better than Director of Property Management, Monica Muhammad. Before Christmas, Monica was able to fill all but one or two of the 28 new units at Forest and Fields. The new units had a long list of interested tenants just after construction and it was Monica’s job to go through those applicants and find the ones best-suited for this type of unit.

Shelter Plus Care provides a necessary service

At Anawim Housing, Home is Everything, especially for those individuals who participate in our Shelter Plus Care Program. The Shelter Plus Care Program helps those who are chronically homeless and otherwise be unable to find a home due to their lack of financial resources as a result of mental illness, HIV/AIDs, or substance abuse.
